Background

The nation’s fourth-largest cable television provider, Cox, offers a variety of telecommunication services including cable television, high-speed communications, media programming, and local and long distance telephone. For the last five years, Cox has grown amidst intense competition and technological change.

In an environment of extreme uncertainty and competition, it became critical to make performance information easily and readily-available at the manager’s fingertips.

DecisionWise worked with Cox to identify, develop, and implement a performance feedback system tied to leadership development.

We identified the performance feedback needs of Team Leaders, Mid-Level Managers, and Functional Leaders at Cox through interviews, focus groups, and surveys.

As a result, we provided a Stakeholder Scorecard and training for managers. Over 500 managers participated in the Peak Performance process and reported significant gains for their teams.

In summary, we conducted a comprehensive needs assessment for three levels of Management. We provided a performance measurement tool and training for implementing large-scale change in their organizations.
