Performance Coaching Workshops

Application

Performance Coaching provides a simple framework and practical skills for addressing typical performance situations.

We teach managers to identify the situation and use the most effective approach for helping others perform to their full potential. The tendency is for managers to postpone coaching until performance is well below expectations. Often that leaves little room for coaching before it becomes terminal action. Coaching someone below the level of acceptable performance follows a directive approach to get Back In Control. Performance Coaching provides specific skills for getting Back In Control.

When an employee's performance meets expectations, but could be better, coaching leverages their own initiative to reach a better result. In these situations, we recommend using GROW Coaching. Performance Coaching provides advanced skills for facilitating others through the GROW model (Goal, Reality, Options and Way Forward).

When performance level is high and the employee is actively growing, coaching relies on feedback from relevant sources, objective interpretation, goal setting, and deliberate practice. Performance Coaching teaches the Leadership Intelligence® process for turning feedback into results.

  • Outcomes

Most managers are used to telling people what needs to be done. Effective coaches help others discover their own solutions. Effective coaches know how to ask questions that help the other person discover solutions for themselves.

Performance Coaching prepares managers to become more effective coaches, conduct meaningful performance reviews, handle difficult situations, engage strong performers, and grow the potential of their best employees.

This workshop offers a proven process for coaching for performance improvement. Participants will become more effective leaders and help others reach their full potential.
